Referring to my letter of the 25th December 1843, I now beg to submit to Your Excellency, a set of the Colonial Accounts, for the half year ending 31st March, 1844.

It is not necessary for me to enter into any detail or explanation regarding the charges in these Accounts, all of them having been made, either by direct order of Your Excellency, or, where payments were made on the temporary responsibility of the heads of Departments, they have since received your full approval and sanction, and are included in the monthly warrant of His Excellency.
